Today was a day like no other. Even after having to “survive” a couple of sleepless nights at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; a big part of me was beaming with excitement.
Just to give you an update on what happened over the last weekend, I was actually invited to speak at the Global Internet Seminar at malaysia. It was really a fun experience for me.
The locals there were very warm-hearted. And I also got to hang out with other info marketers from around the world.
So anyway, I expected to doze off immediately on the flight back home to Singapore.
But surprisingly, I didn’t.
Because, normally whenever I’m being invited to overseas to speak at events, I don’t get as much sleep as I would like to.
And then once I reached home, I would just literally drop on my bed and then sleep for long hours.
But things were different today. In fact, it is a very special day – Well, at least to me. Because everything that I have ever worked hard for is to experience this very special moment; the reality of my dream coming true.
I arrived at car showroom at 2pm. I was supposed to collect my new car. It wasn’t just any other car. It was the car that I always dreamed about when I was a teenager – The Lotus Elise Sports car.
NO words could describe the feeling I had when I finally got to mount on the driver’s seat.
The soft smell of the fresh leather seat… And the sound of the smooth Engine.
It felt like a Deja Vu… It’s like I’ve experience this moment before. It was so surreal. I’ve imagined exactly the way it was.
All the hard work that I’ve put in for this, it was all worth it.
Looking back at how all of this began and came together. It felt like it was just yesterday, when I was still a young teenage boy, standing right in front of my wall, admiring the pin up of the Lotus Elise sports car.
At that point, I just knew that this car had to be mine someday. I wanted it so bad. It’s like if I could only get to choose to only one thing in my life, I’ll still go for the Lotus Elise. It’s that important me.
Well, to some of you… this car may just be some material luxury that you can live out. And I know that there are many other things in life that you value much more.
But my point is this, this car marked a change in my destiny. This car was the main driving force that fuelled me through all the obstacles and challenges I faced growing up as a young working adult.
When I first got my hands on Internet Marketing, there were countless times that I just wanted to throw in the towel. I didn’t had a mentor to guide me and I had to really “cracked my head” just to figure out all the bolts and nuts of the business. It was really hard.
But whenever I just looked up at the pin-up of the Lotus Elise sports car on my wall and say to myself, “You are going to be mine”. All this stress and negativity I had just seem to melt away. And then I would get this sudden adrenaline rush out of no where and I’ll just get right back to work.
This may sound really weird to you… But I really believed in it. I didn’t know exactly how I was going to get it, (Because I wasn’t born into a rich family to begin with.) But I sincerely believe that I would someday get to own the Lotus Elise.
And now I finally got “her”.
Well, I just wanted to share my experience with you, because I’m always getting asked a lot, the secret to my internet marketing success. And I’m sure you may have heard this before elsewhere and I’m going to say it again. It’s not about the how… The key essence in your success lies in your why.
Is that simple, many people tend to over-complicate stuff. But having to succeed is really simple. You just need to ask yourself, why are you doing this in the first place?
Because the stronger your Why, the easier you’ll find your How. Or perhaps, the easier you’ll get through to your how.
One of the main reasons why people fail is not because they don’t know how to succeed. But rather, they stop in their tracks when they find that things gets a little too challenging for them. They give up!
So, here’s the thought for the day… What is it in the world to you, that it’s worth fighting for? If not, what is it in the world that you will never give up hope on even when things seem to fall apart?
Trust me on this one, if you could find the answer and just focus on this one thing and make it your goal, you’ll be on the right path to success.
