During the March school holiday, I decided to do something that I had never done before.
Ever since Super Nintendo World opened in 2021 in Osaka, Japan.
My son has been bugging me about going there.
My son Jonas is a huge fan of Super Mario.
He can go on for days talking about Marios.
So in March, after 1 and a half years of him nagging.
I finally decided to take the courage to bring my son there on my own.
As my son is a special needs child, I have never brought him overseas on my own because…
Sometimes he just doesn’t listen to instructions.
He can just walk off without telling me.
Over the past few years, I have “Lost” him 4 times.
So you can see how nervous I was when I decided to bring him out on my own.
But his behaviour is getting better every year.
So, this year, I’ve decided to be brave and bring him to Japan by myself.
For 2 days, we hung out at Universal Studios Osaka.
And I have never seen him so happy before.
Here’s him dancing during the parade.
The crowd and noise scare him a little.
That’s why he’s holding my hand tightly while dancing.
This is one of the rare moments where I see him so happy!
And this is the reason why I want to be financially successful in life.
So that I can continue to bring my children to any places that they like.
Without me checking with my boss if I can go…
Without worrying that I can’t afford it.
As long as my son wants to go anywhere during his school holidays…
I will bring him there.
In fact, he liked Super Nintendo World so much that he wants to go back in December.
And you know what, I enjoy the father and son trip so much…
So most probably we will be back in Japan soon.
