I’ve noticed that there’s a trend going among upcoming marketers who are looking forward to make their first big break in the how to make money online niche.
And very often, this trend leads many marketers who are just starting out, into a downward spiral…. until they give up altogether.
Seriously, there are almost as many people giving up on internet marketing everyday, as there are people who are eager to do this business.
And I found out that one of the main reasons why people get very discouraged from doing this business is that they actually believed that the reason why they’re not making any money online is because they are not “Gurus”.
Just a couple of weeks ago, a student came up to me and asked me if it’s true that it was tough to make money in internet marketing and that it’s better for her to quit because she’ll lose out to the harsh competition by so-called internet marketing gurus…
And she revealed that it was a friend of hers who claimed to have a few years of internet marketing experience who told her that.
And no matter what happens, they’ll still be lagging far behind from those popularly known “Internet Gurus” who have started out many years ago.
Seriously, I was kinda mad when I heard this.
Because nothing can be further from the truth than this.
And I can prove to you that you can even make tons of money on the internet right away without even being a guru…
You see, in January 2009… I decided to take a direction away from the usual internet marketing jazz and try something new all together.
I decided to venture into 2 different niche that I didn’t know a lot about. But the market is huge.
You might have probably guessed… I went into the Forex niche and the Adult niche (where I teach men how to give killer orgasms to women)
(*Time out*… I’m not trying to blow my own horn… In fact, I don’t think I know enough to be branded as a sex guru or any of that sorts and this has nothing to do with porn)
And as for the Forex… I can’t even differentiate between chart A and chart B.
But that didn’t stop me from creating a hyper responsive list of buyers… who would actually queue to get my forex course!
It sounds pretty ridiculous… I’m sure. But I need to clear the air and set the records straight.
If being a Guru means having a huge list and having a stable internet income.
Then, let me tell you… It’s darn easy to be one.
You just have to appear as if you’re are always around… which basically means having a strong web presence.
The secret to this is really simple. All you ever need to do, is to deliver good content to your subscribers and do it
consistently. That’s it!
Sounds like a no brainer ain’t it? It is…
Just put yourself in the shoes of a customer for a moment. What would you normally do before you buy an ebook or video course that you fancy, online?
Buy it right away with no questions asked? Maybe a couple of people would… but just a couple.
What about the rest of the people? Skeptics perhaps?
They probably would search for reviews to see if anyone who bought the product has any feedbacks.
And if they can’t find any, they’ll probably still stick around to see if you provide any more useful information, which they can use without having to risk losing their money if they were to buy right away.
So what happens when you give more valuable free information than what is expected of you?
Your customers will probably think, if your free stuff is already that fantastic… I can’t imagine how great will the product would be!
That’s exactly the kind of emotions that you want your customers to have when they visit your website.
So they’ll feel good about buying your product. It’s that simple.
Seriously, you don’t need to have the approval of others to earn the kind of money that you always dream of.
All you need to do is to provide as much valuable and useful information as possible. And your customers will start looking up to you.
For starters, I would recommend you to start on article marketing… and blog marketing.
But wait, it don’t make sense… how could you sell something that you have no idea?
Simple… I found a team of people who did and I outsourced all the writing to them.
In case you don’t know, you can easily get people to write articles or blogpost for you for just a small fee.
Just go to outsourcing websites like Getafreelancer, Elance or Odesk… and you can take your pick.
So effectively, It didn’t take me an ounce of effort to start an online business nor should I ever be called a guru…
So, the next time when you hear someone complains about not being able to make money on the internet because he or she is not a guru… You probably laugh to yourself… because that would mean 1 less competition.
